SG Car Boot Sale; conceptualized with the intention of creating a ‘Shopping by The Beach’ Experience on the grounds of Playground @ Big Splash, had its inaugural event held on 21 & 22 June 2008. Encouraged by the success of its initial soft launch, SG Car Boot Sale has since grown and hold such flea markets on a monthly basis that can take in up to 80 cars each time.

The first of its kind to hold a Car Boot Sale of such a scale on a monthly basis in Singapore, SG Car Boot Sale seek to be a launch pad / shop front for entrepreneurs, small businesses and online businesses. In line with the venue’s (Playground @ Big Splash) concept of being family orientated, this monthly event is also a get-together for families to hangout and have a fun day of buying, selling and haggling.

So far, SG Car Boot Sale has become a community where regulars meet monthly to catch up and have fun and at times, beers, ice cream, etc will pass freely around to cool each other from the heat. New members are quickly integrated into the community where the more experience regulars will share the tricks of the trade with their newer counterparts.

Last weekend, i was busy helping out at the Big Splash Car Boot Sale. It is really an experience like no other...I OFFICIALLY HEART Flea Market.. Good clothes and accessories at GOOD PRICE! That is what i call a GOOD BUY!! Coming back to the sale, we sold F1 merchandise which managed to catch lots of eyes when they were walking around..

As our products are different from the usual sales of clothes, used items, etc.. we managed to break even after 2 hours of setting the booth up..That's pretty awesome as it was our FIRST TIME... The sales were good on the first day.. However, on the 2nd day which was a Sunday, the sales were even better.. I've even managed to make new friends and met up with some old ones....

I've never dreamt of going into sales but it's fun once you tried it out as you will be able to meet lots of people..So that's it for my FUN weekend..Ciao bella..
