| The Game Factory is a practical program designed to help raise children to be more resilient, emotionally aware, community oriented and self-determined.
Primarily run in schools throughout Australia and New Zealand, the program has helped to shape relationships between teachers and students from one based on control and compliance to one based on guidance and self-determination.
Behaviour education and self-management is a major element of The Game Factory. Parents, in a working partnership with educators, play an important role in guiding children through the program. |

The Game Factory is an Australian company that specialises in the provision of a program for the significant improvement of behaviour and wellbeing in primary school children. The purpose designed, physically interactive games of the PLAY IS THE WAY™ program are suitable for children of varied abilities and ethnic backgrounds.
Our professional development workshops have become a "workshop of choice" for thousands of educators throughout the country who are looking for strategies to deal with the complexities of student behaviour that they face each and every day.
Our PLAY IS THE WAY™ one-day workshops:
- Offer strategies to help with behaviours that can disrupt classrooms.
- Enhance positive learning behaviours.
- Give teachers a simple but powerful way of talking to children.
- Demonstrate the effectiveness of the strategies, games and philosophies of the program.
- Are a hands-on enjoyable day of activity and learning.
- Are free of power-point presentations.
- Give educators the opportunity to "play."

Play is the universal language of childhood.
In a world that tempts children to grow up too quickly, interactive play helps children to learn about themselves, each other and what it takes to make a safe community.
Combine the power of play with The Game Factory philosophy (with its unique and simple way of talking about and understanding behaviour) and children are well on the road to developing self-mastery, good character and decency.
"What value is wealth if our children are poor in values."

Parent workshops reconnect adults with the experience of childhood through the fun of playing cooperative games.
Seeing things from their children's point-of-view and recognising the need for socially and emotionally competent behaviour helps parents to identify the key skills and understandings children require to live fulfilling lives.
Parent workshops help parents and carers to support their school's use of the program and contribute to increasing its benefits for their children. |
