Often hailed as the caviar of coffee, peaberries are coffee beans that are grown alone in a single cherry. They were once considered a defect, a deformed bean for a long time. Then roasters began to notice a peaberry's single bean had a very concentrated aroma and flavour.Intuitively, it made sense if the tree was growing just one bean per cherry instead of two, then wouldn't that bean get twice as much flavour, aroma and acidity? Now, these small round beans are highly prized. From its humble beginnings as a cast away defect, it has now grown into something of a celebrity in the cup.

Why Pretzel?
A pretzel (or bretzeln) is a traditional German baked snack twisted into a unique knot-like shape, to liken the arm position taken by monks in prayer. Historically, pretzels were offered to children as a reward for learning their prayers by monks. In Germany, pretzels are often tied on a string around children's necks to be blessed with prosperity, health and good fortune. We hope to share with you this meaningful significance as well as bring you recipes from Germany for a unique gastronomic experience!
Using only the finest and freshest ingredients, our food is freshly prepared in our kitchen every day. We make them, we sell them! And we definitely do not keep our cooked meals overnight.
The ubiquitous pock knuckle is the highlight of our menu - a HUGE piece of meltingly tender meat braised for 8 hours in our special peaberry spices, then slow-roasted in the oven to give the crisp crackling. It is an awful amount of effort but we do it because like you, we are fanatical about good german food. And the best way to eat it... With german beer of course!
